“This is pretty much every document from this firm over a 40-year period,” ICIJ director Gerard Ryle told WIRED in a phone call, arguing that at “about 2,000 times larger than the WikiLeaks state department cables,” it’s indeed the biggest leak in history. No one between the ICIJ or the reporters made it leaked to the public. This huge scandal resulted to touched celebrities, athletes, business executives and world leaders. According to the document, Vladimir Putin has $2 billion of hidden money traced through his celebrity musician friend Sergei Roldugin. Sigmundur Gunnlaugsson, Icelandic Prime Minister is now facing demands to resign from the previous Icelandic prime minister after the Mossack Fonseca documents showed that he may have failed to disclose the ownership of the stake in a certain Icelandic banks which is under the government’s rules for officials.
